Cookies!

So as an office gift, my co-worker Emily and I decided to make home made goodies. We each did two different goodies. I did Gingerbread men and Chocolate Chip cookies and she did brownies and sugar cookies.

I'm just learning to cook though. This was the first time I made cookies by myself. I made the chocolate chip cookies from scratch using the Nestle Tollhouse recipe. I did a test batch first and it didn't come out too well. I misread the recipe and used a table spoon of baking soda and salt instead of a teaspoon of each. Yuck! But my friends ate them all up anyway.

So the final ones I made for work came out fine. I'm glad I did a test batch first. The gingerbread cookies were a big hit. I made home made icing and made each cookie different. I only wish I had taken a picture of them all before handing them out. I did make some more cookies though for a family event this weekend. here are some pictures of the cookies. I had some problems with the icing though so they didn't come out as good as I wanted but they are still really cute! I used chocolate chips for their buttons and cinnamon candies for the eyes.
